Loudoun Flavor wants to create a Community Bulletin Board that promotes your interests!
Our small farmette was named AHHA before we got here (thanks to Al and Helen or Helen and Al that built the place). The previous owners were horse lovers so the land is well fertilized and the county maps proclaim it Prime Farm Soil. The minerals and clean water that come down from the foothills feed our soil and our well (along with an underground spring). We raise potted herbs and herbs for cutting along with naturally grown vegetables and heritage breed layers. We are enviro-friendly in our practices and use natural fertilizers and companion planting along with horticultural soap or neem for pest control. Our farm is the incubator for the Chicken Adoption Program which we hope to expand to other small diverse farms so that they can afford to keep chickens.
